HELP USA believes that housing is only the beginning. Once people no longer worry about having a place to sleep at night, they can focus on building better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities. We offer people facing poverty and homelessness safe homes as well as the support they need to live independent, fulfilling lives.
We provide support to individuals and families at risk of homelessness, helping them remain in their homes or relocate with assistance.
For those who have lost their homes, we offer safe shelter and support to quickly secure new housing and improve their chances to avoid homelessness.
We go beyond offering shelter by fostering skill development, offering educational support, and helping individuals manage and improve their lives.
Since our founding in 1986, HELP USA has grown from a single shelter in Brooklyn to a national leader in the fight against homelessness.
And we’re not done yet. HELP USA has always adapted to the changing needs of those facing the challenges of poverty and homelessness. We are always working to grow our programs to serve more people in need.
