Dr. Richard Park, Terry Bischoff, Gil Addo, and Ignacio Perez-Pozuelo bring extensive experience in health, finance, nonprofit services, and artificial intelligence
NEW YORK, NY– (October 22, 2024) HELP USA, the renowned national homeless services provider and affordable housing developer, today announced the election of Dr. Richard Park, Terry Bischoff, Gil Addo, and Ignacio Perez-Pozuelo to its Board of Directors. These distinguished leaders bring a wealth of experience and perspectives that will be invaluable in advancing HELP USA’s mission to end homelessness during this period of expansion and as the organization approaches its 40th anniversary.

About the New Members of the Board of Directors
Dr. Richard Park is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Ascend Partners, a middle-market growth private equity firm focused on healthcare. Dr. Park is the founder and former CEO of CityMD, a leading urgent care company that has treated over 8 million patients throughout New York and New Jersey. He is a board-certified emergency medicine physician, and before founding CityMD in 2010, Dr. Park was an Attending Physician in the Emergency Department at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. As a physician educator, he served as Associate Program Director and was voted Teaching Attending of the Year by the residents from 2003 to 2006. Dr. Park is also a McGraw Hill’s Intensive Review of Emergency Medicine co-editor. Dr. Park received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Theresa (Terry) Bischoff is a partner at RC Consulting Group, LLC, focused on strategy for healthcare and nonprofit organizations. Ms. Bischoff brings to HELP USA a deep background in nonprofit executive leadership and finance, having served as Chief Executive Officer of the American Red Cross of Greater New York; and as Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President and ultimately President of NYU Medical Center. An advocate of healthcare on national, state and local levels, Terry has chaired the Greater New York Hospital Association and the Association of American Medical Colleges. Terry is currently on the boards of Mutual of America Capital Management, Foundation for a Better Puerto Rico, and Abbie’s New School. Ms. Bischoff received a B.S. in accounting from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business; and is a Certified Public Accountant
Gil Addo is the SVP, Specialty Care Solutions | CVS Health, and Co-founder of RubiconMD, a wholly owned subsidiary of CVS Health. RubiconMD’s digital health platform empowers primary care clinicians with access to virtual specialist support to improve patient care. Prior to RubiconMD, Addo was a Consultant at Putnam Associates, a pharma consultancy; and held roles at Xerox, Cubist (acquired by Merck), and two early-stage healthcare ventures. Addo has appeared in Inc, Forbes, CNBC, Fortune, and Entrepreneur Magazine; been named to Forbes’ “30 Under 30” in healthcare, Crains NY Business 40 Under 40, Business Insider’s 30 under 40 in healthcare, Crains Most Notable in Healthcare 2020 and received the Crains 2017 Heritage Healthcare Innovator of the Year award. He holds a BS in Economics and Biomedical Engineering from Yale and an MBA from Harvard.
Ignacio Perez-Pozuelo is the Healthcare Lead for Payor, Provider, and Value-Based Care sectors where he spearheads initiatives across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America. Before Palantir, he was a strategy consultant, worked at Medtronic, and served as a fellow at the Alan Turing Institute in London. He continues to hold a research post at Cambridge. Originally from Madrid, now based in New York City, he pursued Bioengineering and Neuroscience at Brown University, where he founded Programa Aditus—a pro bono initiative assisting Spanish students in applying to universities abroad. He completed graduate studies at Oxford and Berkeley-UCSF before earning his PhD in Medical Science and Computer Science from Cambridge, focusing on Epidemiology and SelfSupervised Learning.
