Introducing the Help USA Home Run Team
Running for HOMES in the TCS NYC Marathon.
HELP USA is an Official Charity Partner of the 2024 TCS NYC Marathon!
Each step of the 26.2 race is a step towards a safe and stable home for a New Yorker facing homelessness. Our team is raising $150,000 to help find homes for the nearly 150,000 New York City children and adults currently living in shelters.
At the helm of the Home Run Team is HELP USA CEO & President, Dan Lehman:

Meet Our Runners

Dan Lehman
Dan is HELP USA’s President & CEO. He believes EVERYONE deserves a safe and stable home; and that solutions to homelessness ARE possible. He is running to support people moving from shelters into permanent homes.

Robert Berry
Robert is HELP USA’s Senior Development Manager. Every step he runs is to raise funds for art and music therapy for families in our shelters, because the healing from the traumas of homelessness opens pathways to future housing stability.

Katie Sessa
Katie works in finance when she’s not training for marathons. She’s running to support financial literacy education and workforce training, so adults can retain quality, affordable housing and live an empowered life.

Daley Goveia
Daley is a tennis coach and veteran. He knows that a healthy lifestyle improves overall wellness, and he is racing so people in shelters have access to healthy eating education and physical fitness classes to improve their well-being and mental health.

Rasone
Rasone, the oldest of two from Brooklyn, NY, was raised in a single-parent household and moved to Hoboken at seven. Despite initial positive influences, he fell into a life of petty theft and later sold cocaine, ultimately seeking help through a long-term program in New York. He joined a running team, initially motivated by gear, but soon focused on improving his times, reaching a mile in 6:45. Invited to run the New York City Marathon, he trained diligently and aims to become the first in his family to finish. Through his journey, Rasone hopes to inspire others, emphasizing the power of consistency in overcoming challenges.

Evan Carr
Evan is an AIG underwriter and passionate advocate for adoption. He believes education is key to lifting people out of poverty. He is running so kids in shelter have the tools to break the cycle of homelessness.
