A Night of Creative Expression and Philanthropy – Art of Resilience 2024!
The 2024 Art of Resilience was held on Tuesday, April 2 at the historic National Arts Club, in Gramercy Park, NYC. The evening celebrated the resilience of people who experience homelessness, showcasing their artwork created during therapeutic art therapy workshops at HELP USA sites in NYC. Guests perused the gallery of works, heard remarks from HELP’s art therapist, Kadejah Steele, and were treated to a collaging activity led by 2024 Art of Resilience Artist Host Baseera Khan. Attendees included Derrick Adams and Michael Chuapoco, Dr. Kathryn Beal, Liz Cohen Hausman, Eden Williams, Anna Chapman, Arthur and Elizabeth Mirante, Jeffrey Sachs, Atenedoro Gonzalez, Debra Bates and Anthony Williams, Christina Senia, Justin Conner, Doreen McCarthy, Cerrie Bamford, Alayah Glenn, Gale Sitomer, Yolanda Jimenez , Maggie Waterhouse, and Jamila Justine Willis. Proceeds support the expansion of HELP USA’s impactful Art of Resilience art therapy program, helping children and adults experiencing homelessness recover from trauma and supporting them on their journeys to stability.
