More than 300 advocates, officials, and community leaders came together at HELP USA’s annual symposium to confront the urgent challenges of homelessness and housing inequality.
Deputy Mayor Adolfo Carrión, Jr. emphasized the importance of collaboration: “It takes partnerships like what we have here today… coming together to do the work.”
Ann Oliva, CEO of the National Alliance to End Homelessness, brought the conversation back to the human impact, sharing stories of resilience in the face of systemic failure.
“Homelessness is an injustice tied to other injustices,” she said. “We need to connect to our shared aspirations to solve this problem.”
The symposium was a call to action—a reminder that progress depends on collective leadership, urgency, and an unwavering belief that everyone deserves a place to call home.
