Dan Lehman

President and CEO, HELP USA

Dan Lehman is the President & CEO of HELP USA, a leading housing and homelessness organization with a focus on innovation, equity, and lasting impact.

Dan joined HELP USA in November 2023, bringing with him three decades of nonprofit and government leadership and experience. Since arriving at HELP, Dan has focused on organizational clarity, operational efficiency and financial strength, while seeking out new strategic opportunities and new means to support HELP USA’s mission.

Before joining HELP USA, Dan served as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC). His prior roles include serving as a Deputy Commissioner at both the New York City Department of Social Services and Department of Health & Mental Hygiene; as CFO and then COO at Children’s Aid; and as interim CEO of the Collegiate Church of New York.

At every place Dan has worked, he has shown a deep commitment to achieving concrete results for individuals and families; and a relentless drive to ensure that “mission meets money” – ensuring that programs are not only sustainable but rooted in equity and accountability. At HELP USA, Dan is continuing a legacy of innovation and partnership to end homelessness and ensure that everyone has a place to call home.

This powerful day of solidarity brings together housed and unhoused New Yorkers to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and support real solutions to homelessness.

We’re walking in honor of our 40th anniversary and aiming to raise $40,000 to support programs that keep New Yorkers safely housed.
