Statement on Racist Mass Shooting in Buffalo, NY:

We mourn with our staff and residents, the City of Buffalo, and the families and friends of the victims of the senseless mass shooting in the Tops Supermarket on May 14, 2022.

For 23 years we have called Buffalo home. This heinous crime happened in our neighborhood – a place where our team lives and works; a place where we are proud to provide services and affordable housing for veterans, seniors, and families. To our staff and residents in Buffalo, know that the entire HELP USA family – in New York, Nevada, Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey – is with you.

Hate-fueled crimes have no place in our world, and it will take all of us together to push back the tide of racially motivated violence. At HELP USA, we will continue to fight for a culture characterized by justice, respect, and compassion for all, especially those seeking assistance to build better lives.

We offer our sincere condolences to the residents of East Buffalo and the entire Buffalo community and all who are grieving and traumatized by this devastating event.
