Domestic violence and homelessness are inexorably linked. Flight from domestic violence is often the proximate cause of homelessness among women and families, and some studies indicate that as many as 50% of all homeless women have experienced domestic violence at some point in their lives.

Because of our extensive work with homeless women and families, HELP USA has become a leader in the field of domestic violence services. We currently operate one residential homeless shelter specifically for domestic violence survivors. We also run a non-residential service program and hotline focused on helping survivors in the community. Additionally, we provide domestic violence counseling and services at all of our general population transitional housing facilities across the country, and distribute annual scholarships to men and women to aid their educational and career goals.
