In 2012 HELP USA was chosen by the government of the District of Columbia to develop permanent rental housing for homeless veterans on the site of the now decommissioned Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Set to begin construction in 2017, this building will serve 75 homeless veterans and represents the continuation of the long history of veteran and military service on the site.

For its first residence in The District of Columbia, HELP USA will invest more than $12,000,000 in the site, and build 75 units of housing for homeless Washingtonians.
