Enlist with HELP USA to House Homeless Veterans
It feels good to have someone fight for me"

HELP USA is pledging to help with the President's decision to bring 33,000 American service men and women home from Afghanistan, by continuing to forge partnerships that give homeless veterans a lifeline.
Currently, 1 in 3 homeless men is a veteran of war, with nearly 200,000 homeless male veterans sleeping on the street each night as a result. This staggering statistic is compounded by the increase in women serving in recent wars and thus a corresponding increase in the domestic homeless female veteran population as well. To date, an estimated 8,000 female veterans are homeless in the United States and this statistic will grow as more and more women return from tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
HELP USA is committed to helping these returning war veterans rebuild their futures. Many of these American heroes will need support just as they served us for years. The number of veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan missions who have returned home to joblessness and homelessness is distressing, and we know some of these American fighters will face similar challenges. The soldiers are not all coming home now -- but the time to ensure we have the right safety net waiting for them is now.
HELP USA, one of the largest nonprofit housing organizations serving the homeless in the country, is taking steps to ensure an adequate safety net for soldiers returning from Afghanistan. Enlist with HELP to provide homes for homeless veterans.
