HELP USA is proud to announce that our Perry Point Veteran Village has been chosen by Affordable Housing Finance Magazine as the Special Needs Project of the Year. The village, which opened in 2018, provides permanent housing and supportive services to formerly homeless veterans on the campus of the Perry Point VA Medical Center in Maryland.

More than ten years in the making, the project marshaled resources from the State of Maryland, HUD, the VA and private donors to construct and rehabilitate seventy-five apartments.

Perry Point Veterans Village is located on a beautiful campus steps away from the VA Medical Center, where residents can receive mental and physical healthcare.

The project is fully-sustainable. It achieved net-zero status through careful engineering and the addition of a four-acre 420-kw solar array field.

We are honored to have been recognized for this great project, but even more honored to be serving the veterans who call it home.
