New York, NY -- HELP USA, one of the largest nonprofit housing organizations for the homeless in the country, is taking steps to ensure an adequate safety net for soldiers returning from Afghanistan.  The organization has specialized transitional and permanent supportive housing residences and employment services for veterans in NYC, Newark, Philadelphia and Las Vegas with projects in development in Washington DC and Maryland.
New York--HELP USA, founded by Governor-elect, Andrew Cuomo in 1986 and today one of the nation's largest non-profit providers of housing and services for the homeless organizations will present entertainer and philanthropist, Mary J. Blige with and Estée Lauder Global Brand President, Jane Hertzmark Hudis with the organization's HELP HERO awards at a luncheon and awards ceremony hosted by Academy and Tony award winning actress, Marcia Gay Harden and ABC's Deborah Roberts.

Tuesday, June 30, 2010—New York, NY)--- A capacity crowd attended the 2010 National Conference on Volunteering and Service issue forum on mentoring as a solution to the school drop-out crisis, where speakers included Joshua DuBois of the White House Office of Faith Based Initiatives, Matilda Cuomo of Mentoring USA, Dr. Larry Wright of MENTOR and Karen Mathis of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
June 14, 2010 (PHILADELPHIA)-At a Topping Off Ceremony for the HELP Philadelphia Homes/Robert Brady Sr. Veterans Center Congressman Robert A. Brady and HELP USA National Chair, Maria Cuomo Cole said that dozens of local Veterans and their families will soon call a new rental community home. The 63 unit, affordable rental units will be available to families and disabled veterans by the fall.  
(Tuesday, June 15th--Harlem, NY)---Harlem students, who participate in the school based program of Mentoring USA, presented New York City Schools Chancellor Joel Klein with a special hand-crafted "memory book," complete with sketches and photographs chronicling their school years' "mentoring memories."
