Houlihan Lawrence has organized a “Give a Book” book drive to benefit children at HELP USA residences and programs in New York City.

The family-owned real estate company, which covers Westchester, Fairfield, Putnam and Dutchess counties, collected hundreds of books to donate to children in need at HELP I Early Learning Center, HELP I residence, Genesis Academy after school program, and HELP R.O.A.D.S. program.

The advertisement for the book drive reads, “The single most significant factor influencing a child’s educational success is ‘being read to at home.’ The only significant measure that correlates positively with reading scores is the number of books in the home. Yet, 61% of low-income families have no books for their children.”

Led by Chairman Nancy Seaman, President and CEO Stephen Meyers, and Managing Principal Chris Meyers, Houlihan Lawrence has provided the opportunity for many children at HELP USA residences to bring home a book.
