The families at HELP Suffolk in Bellport enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving Day feast with all of the trimmings thanks to the generosity of Kanan Patel and the Chintu & Falguni Patel Foundation. Kanan Patel, daughter of Chintu and Falguni Patel, provided a professionally catered meal for the children and families in the shelter who may be missing their loved ones and have nowhere to spend the holiday.

The foundation, run by the Patel family of the local business Amneal Pharmaceuticals, has been extremely generous to the families of HELP Suffolk over the past year. In 2015, the non-profit also donated $14,000 in backpacks and school supplies to 86 children at the HELP Suffolk Transitional Shelter.

HELP Suffolk is a 76-unit transitional housing facility for homeless families. HELP Suffolk is the largest housing facility for the homeless on Long Island.  The complex sits on seven acres of property and consists of four residential buildings, a community building, two playgrounds and a baseball field.
