Genesis Neighborhood Plaza II (“GNP II”) is a 98-unit affordable housing complex in East New York, Brooklyn. GNP II offers high quality affordable permanent housing for both families and individual adults, and integrates low-income family units with supportive housing units for tenants with special needs. The building shares an entrance and lobby area with Genesis Neighborhood Plaza I.
49 of the units in GNP II are set aside for homeless disabled veterans who are also coping with either mental illness or chemical addiction. These tenants receive comprehensive case management, mental health, substance abuse counseling, and other services. HELP provides these services through a collaboration with Services for the Underserved (SUS), an experienced supportive service provider. Additional services are provided by the Department of Veteran Affairs.
