Philadelphia Boys Choir Check Presentation 2.7.17

On Tuesday, February 7, the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale presented HELP USA with a $2,500 donation towards our fifth residence in Philadelphia. The Choir donated $1 for every ticket sold as part of their annual Holiday Concert Series.

CBS Channel 3 News and ABC Channel 6 News each covered the event.

The proceeds will be used to build a “Tribute Wall” in the tenant lobby that tells the history of the neighborhood and the former Spring Garden School. HELP USA is converting the former Philadelphia school into 37 units of affordable housing for formerly homeless veterans and low-income families. After the historic school sat vacant for four decades, the building is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed by September 2017.
