HELP Haven

Confidential Location, New York

HELP Haven is an emergency residence providing safe and confidential shelter to victims of domestic violence and their families.  It can serve a maximum of 100 clients at any given time.  The average length of stay is four to six months. Since 1996, HELP Haven has answered 1710 hotline calls and served 777 families. 

HELP Haven serves male and female victims of domestic violence.  Approximately 98 percent of the victims served are female.

75 percent of residents have no employment history.  HELP Haven provides much needed support and safety to this particularly vulnerable population.
