HELP I is a transitional housing facility for homeless families, serving 764 individuals in 191 family units.
The comprehensive, family-oriented programs offered at HELP I treat all of its clients' many-faceted needs, and empower them to become and remain self-reliant. Since its inception in 1987, HELP I has served over 7,278 families with transitional housing and case management services.
The Office of New York City School and Community Service of the New York State Educational Department awarded the HELP I Daycare a Full Compliance Award for every year from 1998 to 2005 and an Outstanding Award in 2001.
