Short-term, transitional housing for homeless households was HELP's first housing model, and remains one of the agency's core businesses to this day.  HELP's transitional housing approach, which was designated by the U.S. Congress as a national demonstration model, features: 1) a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment; 2) comprehensive assessment, case management, employment and counseling services, 3) a rapid-rehousing program utilizing intensive housing readiness and placement assistance, and 4) linkages to a wide range of other community-based wrap-around services to help stabilize families and neighborhoods.
